To arrange a viewing for a LUSU Living property visit our housesearch and click enquire for any properties you are interested in.

What’s included in Living’s shared household utility package?

Water, energy, fibre broadband (where available), IT support, TV licence, a termly cleaning service, contents insurance, boiler cover and a dedicated repair service.

Do Living provide a written lease?

Yes – We always provide our tenants with a copy of their written lease. We also provide applicants with an opportunity to read the lease for their chosen property before signing the lease.

Do I have to pay Living a deposit?

Living do not require student members of the students' union to pay a deposit or retainer. Some other landlords in Lancaster may ask for a deposit or retainer / other fees etc, but our Living rents are transparent and clearly identifiable on the front page our lease.

Am I able to drop out of my contract?

No - just like renting a room on campus, students who rent from Living are not able to drop out of a contract. All our leases are for a fixed term, so if you feel you do need to drop out of your contract you must come and speak to the Living team on campus or email us so we may provide assistance / support as appropriate.
