Community Volunteering is a great opportunity to get involved in the local community, participate in its development and build your links with the town and its people. It can connect you to Lancaster - the place that is your ‘second home’ now in a way that is meaningful, and has a positive impact on the local community and on you.

Your Students’ Union works closely with external organisations to bring you a variety of high quality volunteering opportunities, which can be either on or off campus.

In order to achieve this we have a dedicated team of students and staff who make sure your volunteering experience is the best possible. Our community partners range from those working with young people, arts, to environmental and conservation projects.

If you are interested in community volunteering, you will first need to enroll as a volunteer here.

To get to know other like-minded students interested in volunteering, learn more about  upcoming opportunities, benefits of volunteering -  join our Facebook group here.

If you would like to speak to a member of our Communities team, come along to a drop-in session. Check the Facebook group, email together@lancaster.ac.uk or ask at the Student’s Union reception for times.
