All societies have a 'Terms of Reference' which defines their objectives; the exec roles and responsibilities; and ensures the society is operating within students' union policy. When your society was first created your exec will have written a Terms of Reference.

This exists to make sure your group operates within the Students' Union's constitution and outlines your society’s aims and objectives but should also be a document that allows your group to develop and grow. Each year we ask that you resubmit your Terms of Reference through the re-affiliation process so that we can make sure your group is still acting within the Students' Union guidelines as well as allowing us to keep a record on or systems.
